VAUXHALL, N.J. (June 8, 2007) Following a $2 million exterior makeover, the Lightstone Group one of the largest private real estate owners nationwide today announces that the newly named Millburn Village Mall is once again open for business.
The revamped town center situated on Vauxhall road between Valley Street and Millburn Avenue intersections services patrons from both Union and Essex Counties, including residents from Vauxhall, Union, Millburn, Short Hills, Springfield, and Maplewood.
“A shopping village that once appeared timeworn and lacked consumer-friendly features is now a one-stop town center with a modern appeal and wider scope of national chains and independent retail stores that customers are eager to have near their home,” said Jeff Dash, vice president of leasing and management for The Lightstone Group. “The greater variety of retail, as well as office space, also tends to increased job opportunities.”
For the first time in its 45 years of business, the Millburn Village Mall has received a facelift that will attract more patrons to the area, while beautifying the surrounding communities. The site’s fresh décor and site improvements include new corner towers and a color-coordinated stucco finish, new canopies and lighting, a newly paved parking lot, and $100,000 of landscaping additions.
Aside from the exterior modifications, a landscaped outdoor seating area has been created for restaurant patrons. Existing space has been revamped to accommodate the new 20,700-square-foot Staples office supplies store and a 2,000-square-foot Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries a casual restaurant chain with locations in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern region.
“Though we are steering the Millburn Village Mall into a new era of business, The Lightstone Group still recognizes the importance of maintaining the needs and desires of the community,” Dash said, referencing neighborhood favorites such as Maple Kosher Meat, Magical Scissors Salon, Bottle Crown Liquors, and Drug Fair, which is unveiling its new prototype.
