Saks Off 5th to Open at Prime Outlets-Grand Prairie

Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th plans to open a 28,000-square-foot store at Prime Outlets in Grand Prairie.
Saks joins Neiman Marcus' Last Call as anchor tenants at the new outlet mall. The $100 million development is expected to open in time for the 2009 holiday season.
When it opens, Prime Outlets-Grand Prairie will feature 120 outlet stores and a gross leasable area of 485,000 square feet. The mall is located on Interstate 20 at the intersection of State Highway 360, Great Southwest Parkway exit.
Baltimore-based Prime Retail Inc. owns and operates 21 Prime Outlets including malls in Orlando, Fla., San Marcos, Williamsburg, Va., and Grove City, Pa.
"We are creating a well-tenanted outlet center in Grand Prairie and the addition of Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th represents our commitment to offer shoppers the most compelling, well-priced collection of top designers and leading brand-names," said Karen Fluharty, Prime Retail's senior vice president of marketing, in a statement.
New York-based Saks Inc. (NYSE: SKS) operates 54 Saks Fifth Avenue stores, 48 Off Fifth stores and 95 Club Libby Lu stores.
