THE LIGHTSTONE GROUP RENEWS MORE THAN 13,000-SQUARE-FOOT LEASE WITH ECKERD AT MONROE PLAZA IN STROUDSBURG, PA

STROUDSBURG BOROUGH, Pa. (May, 2007) — The Lightstone Group, one of the largest private real estate owners in the country, has announced that, for five more years, it will continue leasing a 13,716-square-foot space in Monroe Plaza to Eckerd drug store – a much needed partnership to accommodate the region’s recent population boom.

“Considering the increasing number of residents living in the borough – up 6 percent since 2000 – the lease extension will continue providing pharmacy and health services to the more than 16,000 people who live in Stroudsburg and surrounding areas,” said Jeff Dash, vice president of leasing for The Lightstone Group.

“Stroudsburg and its neighboring communities are rapidly growing and Monroe Plaza is an integral component of each region’s shopping needs,” Dash added. “This lease extension will prevent nearby patrons from being forced to travel out of their area for basic health products, saving consumers both time and money.”

One of three pharmacies in Stroudsburg, Eckerd is the largest store of its kind in the borough area and offers the widest array of health, beauty and home products of any comparable retailer. Situated in the Monroe Plaza, Eckerd is adjacent to other community favorites including Palumbo’s Pizza and Holiday Hair.
