The Lightstone Group Announces Opening of
Greenwood Diner at Birney Mall in Moosic, Pa.

MOOSIC, PA (May 7, 2008) – The Lightstone Group, one of the largest private real estate owners in the country, today announced the opening of the Greenwood Diner at the Birney Mall in Moosic, Pa. The restaurant is the second in the Scranton Valley region for Korishades, an operator of first-class, full-service 24-hour family restaurants.

“This is the only 24-hour diner in the area and therefore fills a very important need in the community,” said Jeffrey Dash, vice president of retail leasing and management at the Lightstone Group.  “With extended work days and late night or overnight shifts, there is an ongoing need for a full service restaurant that is open all day and night.”

Birney Mall is located on 3409 Birney Avenue at the split of the southbound and northbound sections of Route 11, approximately two miles southwest of downtown Scranton.  The 196,109-square-foot outdoor mall is also home to Kmart, Big Lots, Pro Fitness, Long John Silvers, Holiday Hair, Dino & Francesco’s Pizza and Family Restaurant, and other retailers.
